last year, i posted about the books i read in 2009. and i rated them - fresh out of memory, sorta like the kind of lasting impression they made on me, not necessarily exactly the same as i rated them on goodreads. i'm going to do the same thing again. [again, i'm bolding the 5 stars.] here goes:

all in all, i read a lot of good books this year, but only The Help [as a new read, besides repeats] really stood out as a fantastic book that i read this year. interesting.  Unbearable Lightness was incredibly interesting, too - i've always been a fan of Portia's.
