slightly panicked

Ok, tonight is my bookclub, which I forgot about until just now. I need to come up with some sort of dish to bring. It could pretty much be anything, main dish, dessert, side dish - as long as its tasty & everyone will mess their pants with excitement. I will give the blogging world credit, don't you worry... But I have to be able to do it quick. I have to get the ingredients & get it made by 6:30ish. So I'd have about 2 to 2.5 hours this afternoon.

Any delicious suggestions?

Did you remember to read the book? What was it? Ummm, I'll have to think about the food item. You could make that stuffed pizza bread thingy. That is good and it would be quick.

Anyone who knows me knows my vote will always be the 7 layer bean dip. You know the one: Beans, Sour Cream, Guacamole, Salsa, Cheese, etc. YUM! Great now I'm craving bean dip! Perhaps I'll make it tonight as well!

Make my chicken cranberry salad it's in Natalie's summer cookbook. People seriously will "mess their pants" with excitement. It is so good. No preparation really just assembling.

if you don't wan to go look it up here is what I do. If you have time to cook chicken breasts cook up 4 if not. get those pre cooked chicken strips. I made this recipe up after having it in a restaurant in seattle. so it's just kind of throwing stuff in. put in however much sounds good to you.

baby spinah
craisins
1 chopped apple
paul newman balsamic vingerette dressing
1 tub crumbled blue cheese
toast up some almonds

This is seriously to die for, people freak when I make this

Poke holes in it (of course there's poking--look at the title)
Pour Sweetened condensed milk in the holes
Spread Cool Whip on top & sprinkle toffe bits on top of the cool whip. The end.

I'm probably posting too late, but spread cream cheese out on a platter, cover it with that apple dipping caramel, and sprinkle it with crushed SKOR bars, and cut some green granny smith apples and arrange them around the edges for dipping.

It is awesome. Even if you don't use it this month, do try it. You'll likey.
