road rash

today is a big day for me. my closing is at 10:30 & then my yearly physical is at 2:30. i'm very anxious for the closing. then i'm sorta dreading being weighed... but in my defense, at least i have the right to say "i'm currently trying, so back off!" but here's the real dilemma: a while ago, i was fretting about my bikini zone... how to take care of that area, especially in the - i'm going on the cruise in September - area. so i asked brooke... she said that if you shave it and shave often, it'll get over the irritation. well, so i started shaving... we're not over the irritation. so i'm all red and bumpy... down there. and i'm kinda nervous/embarrassed about the road rash. oh well. ain't nothing i can do.

haha. At least you are making an effort to maintain. I can't even see my area...if you catch my drift.

So hilarious your posting about that. I've never had a brazillian, but that may be something to look into for your cruise (I hear you may wish to take more than a few painkillers beforehand though). Good luck with the physical! I am not jealous. :)

i'm not doing anything fancy - just trying to keep it from looking like i'm hiding a little brown teddy bear in my swimsuit.

Oh my gosh, Hayley, you crack me up! Your post and your commments. So, here's an idea: just spray some of that fancy glitter spray and it will distract your doctor from the red bumps...

Haha! I definitely think you should try some glitter. The irritation does get better the more ya shave it. It's a pain until then of course.

Wow, the glitter would be nice. You should try it and tell me how it works for you. I'm just not shaving everything down there. Why?? Doing some maintenance is one thing, but shaving everything...no thanks!!

I don't think Hayley is shaving the whole bushy. Just the growth down her legs.

i'm not going bald eagle people. i'm just trying not to look like a hairy mammoth - just the bikini line is getting bumpy right now. otherwise, i do some slight trimmage... to thin things out a bit

Hayley try Coochy Cream. It's suppose to help with the bumps and I've heard that after shave is really good for the bumps too. As for being embarassed at the DR remember they see alot worse than that!

Oh my--someone invented something called Coochy Cream? That's awesome. "Coochy" for sure goes on my list!

so how'd it go? did the doctor appreciate that you didn't bring your teddy bear? was he/she concerned that you might be having an "outbreak?" hardy har har. i laugh with you, not at you, since i too have this problem. my friend recommended something...coochy cream isn't ringing any bells (and i'm thinking it would!) but she said it was magic. i'll look into it for us.

Yikes, road rash is the worst, but it must be done, because there is nothing worse than looking at runaway pube's, have you ever tried nair down there? It worked pretty well when I went to Hawaii, and no bumps.

Oh, also for the razor burn/road rash, You can use witch hazel, alcohol, and aspirins mashed up. I'll get you the exact "recipe" if you want it.
