mystery activity

so - tomorrow afternoon, our faculty is going on a field trip. where? i don't know. but i need to bring a pair of socks. criminy. what the hellsbells are we doing? share your thoughts. (and can i note that right now, if its not utterly pertaining to my teaching skills being improved or me setting up my classroom, i really don't want to be doing it.)

and can i just say that i hate those socks? i hate toes & their "fingerness"... ick!

hayley! i think we're going bowling. just a guess of course. but with the "spare" part in the description. and the socks requirement...i'd say bowling.

If there was the word "spare" in it, I bet you are bowling.

Sounds like bowling to me too. And I agree on the socks with toe thingies in them -- I hate them.

yeah, bowling sounds right. at first i was thinking one of those bounce house places. they require the kids to wear socks. i think that a bunch of teachers would really enjoy the bounce houses. but i agree, don't waste my time. i can go bowling on my own time. let me spend this time doing something productive.

What about a slumber party with socks with "fingers?" Or maybe foot massages? Or crazy sock day?

sorry kristi - none of those reasons cut it! no excuses!

i for one am quite annoyed at going on some stupid "social" or whatnot tomorrow when we could either be finishing out SPD day, or working on getting our classrooms/ materials ready for the beginning of the year. I'm getting motivated tonight. YAY!! I'm almost tempted to be a brat and not go, since it's at the end of the day and all. :)

Have fun. Some of the craziest activities have turned out to be fun. Go with a positive attitude and maybe there will be free food.

don't get me wrong - i'll go. i'm a team player. it just isn't my first choice of time usage. oh well... it'll make me loathe people a little less if i go bowl & laugh with them, right?

I love your mommy. She is SO positive!

Ned is very positive, right on Jori. Hayley, you have fun today. But I wish they'd let you work so you can get your buns down here!

Bowling or Ice Skating... that's my 2 cents.

Let us know what it ended up being -- even though you have zillions of other things you'd rather do with your time.

My votes bowling. I agree I hate the glove socks. In high school my friend had the glove socks that were rainbowed and went up up up to right abouve her knees. Oh so so ugly.

we did go bowling. it was hard to get over what i could've been doing - but i'm actually glad i went. it was fun. i'm a terrible bowler, but i have a blast. i had fun people to bowl with & it was even slightly relaxing. it made it so i could stay til 6 and i took about an hours break tonight for dinner, blogging and phone conversations, but its almost 9 and i'm still going strong!
